My Sketch Of Willie The Penguin

Good day, folks. I drew a picture of Willie The Penguin today because I really enjoy the comic. I barely had 30 minutes to sketch it since I kept making mistakes and had to start over. Here is a photo of it!

I attempted to recreate this image right here.

Although the process was fantastic, it took a long. kindly post a comment below.
I’m curious as to what book/comic you find most enjoyable.

Nancy Wake

WALT: Write a biography about a famous New Zealander.

Nancy Wake was born on August 30, 1912. She was born in New Zealand and left New Zealand to go to Australia.

She was a spy for SOE (the French Resistance). She had a nickname called the white mouse. She had that nickname because she was very hard to find and very sneaky.

While she was working for the French resistance, she learned how to smuggle food and radios, and she learned to use radio codes to communicate. Nancy Wake went biking for 400 kilometers for a new radio. Do you know how far that is? She is such a talented lady to go that far just for a new radio.

The toughest time in her life was when her husband went missing. That was an adamant time for her. Nancy Wake was the type of person who would risk her life just to keep someone else alive; she almost died saving others. She was very brave, believing that people should be treated fairly and live freely.

Nancy Wake lived in five countries: Australia, New Zealand, New York, London, and Paris. After the war, she was awarded the George Medal. She must have been the bravest lady in the world to get the George Medal.

Here are some, pictures of her.

Thank you very much for reading my biography about her.

What was your favourite part? Please leave a comment and let me know. Thank you.

Rātā me te Rākau

Hello everyone, Today I’m going to show you some of the work I’ve been doing over the last week.

Please read this story and then answer the questions I’ll be listing at the end of the story. Thank you!

Rātā was very tired. He had been searching the
forest for many days to find the right tree to make
a waka. Some trees were not tall enough. Other
trees were not straight enough.
“There must be a rākau tall enough and straight
enough for me to use to carve a giant waka,” he
said. “The waka must be big enough to carry my
people away from this island.

Rātā knew that
Tāwhirimātea, the god of
the wind, and his brother
Tangaroa, the god of the
sea, were about to do
battle. Soon Tāwhirimātea
would send his powerful
winds racing across the sea,
and Tangaroa would send
his massive waves in return.
Rātā knew the battle would
destroy all the villages on
his island and he wanted
to do what he could to
save his people.

Rātā searched, growing wearier and wearier.
Then, at last, he saw it – the perfect tree!
Rātā got straight to work. “Everyone in the
village will be so happy,” he said to himself.
“Finally we will be able to leave and be safe.”
Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! He began
cutting into the massive trunk of the tree.
Rātā didn’t know that Wētā and Kārearea
were watching him. They were horrified to see
what he was doing.
“He did not show respect to this mighty
tree” whispered Kārearea.
“Āe, he did not give thanks
to Tāne-mahuta!” added Wētā.
Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!

The sound of Rātā striking the tree was heard by
every creature in the forest.
“What’s that?” cried the forest creatures, moving
closer. “What is he doing?”
Rātā couldn’t hear the creatures over the
noise of his chopping. The tree fell at last with a
thunderous crash. “Ah,” said Rātā. “Now I can rest.
Tomorrow, I will start carving the waka.”

But the next morning, when Rātā returned, he
couldn’t believe his eyes. The tree was standing
again, tall and straight! What magic was this? He
looked around in wonder, but the forest was silent.
He shook his head and looked at the blisters on his
hands. No, it had not been a dream. But there was
nothing else for it. He would have to cut the tree
down again.
The birds and insects of the forest watched Rātā as
he started work. Again, Rātā failed to give thanks to
Tāne-mahuta. He chopped all day, and as the sun set,
the huge tree fell to the ground once more.
The next morning, Rātā returned to hollow out the
fallen log and again saw that the tree was standing
straight and tall. He yelled out in anger, “Who did
this?” Again, the forest was silent.
“Whoever you are, this time I will catch you,” Rātā
said to himself, and for the third time, he started to
chop down the tree.

When the tree finally crashed
to the ground, Rātā pretended to
leave but instead crept back and
hid in a nearby fern. As he watched,
thousands of creatures came out
from the bushes and treetops and
undergrowth. Rātā looked on in
amazement as they began to put
the tree back together – every
branch, every leaf, and every tiny
piece of wood. Then they stood
back and cheered at their
good work.

Rātā jumped out from the fern. He was furious.
“Why do you cheer and make fun of me?” he screamed.
“You have ruined all my hard work!”
“Make fun of you?” said Wētā. “We wonder why you
make fun of our guardian, Tāne-mahuta, by not showing
respect to him and this rākau?”
Rātā was shocked. He looked up at the beautiful tree.
He felt very embarrassed. He had been so desperate to
save his people that he had forgotten to show respect.
He had forgotten to explain why he needed this tree.
“Please forgive me,” he said. “I was desperate.
I needed to make a waka to take my people away from
the angry storms of Tāwhirimātea and the wild waves
of Tangaroa.” His eyes filled with tears, and he turned
and went back to his village.
Next morning, Rātā was woken by shouting. He looked
up to see a very strange sight. A giant waka was sailing
through the air towards his village! It was being carried
on the backs and wings of thousands of insects
and birds.

“Rātā,” said Wētā. “Your heart was in the right
place, even if your mind wasn’t. Please take this
waka as a gift to your people.”
Rātā felt as if his heart would explode with joy.
“All we ask,” said Kārearea, “is that you show
respect and give thanks to Tāne-mahuta for the
gifts of the forest and that you teach others to do
the same.”
“I will,” promised Rātā. “I will.”
And so he did.

Here is a screencast I did about this. Please enjoy.

Forensic Dentistry

Forensic Dentistry.

Police investigators use dental records to solve crimes. The teeth from bite marks on skeletons and victims’ bodies are used. Everyone has similar bite marks, but when they are looked at closely, you can see small differences.

We used Styrofoam to imprint out bite marks. By looking closely at these, we could match up which of the people in our class were the suspects.

Silva Gunbardhi

Hello, my name is Shaheen, and today I’m going to show you the project I’ve been working on this week.

I have made a slide about my favorite singer.

Her name is Silva Gunbardhi.

She is from Albania, and she is 41 years old but it looks like she is in her mid-20s.

Te Ka Lali, her most famous song, was released nine years ago and has received over 600 million views.

Here is a slide I made about her.

I hope you enjoyed the blog. Please leave feedback, and thanks for reading my slide.

I have a question for you readers what’s 1 thing you learned today?

The Giant Troll

I think the troll is thinking that he needs food to get bigger and bigger, so he is trying to find the nearest source of food or human to eat.

I think the troll is a big naughty troll who likes dominating the earth and wants the whole earth to be destroyed.

If people saw the troll, they would run as fast as they could to find shelter or somewhere to be protected so they would not get hurt.

If I saw a troll, I would not talk to it nor would I capture it. I would run somewhere for shelter to be saved and save other people’s lives.

The troll is probably a mouse that had some type of disorder that makes it grow every time it eats, and I think he came from the woods.

I think the rope around the troll is to hold his waist or hold his weight, preventing him from falling and hurting him.

The Giant Troll

On a Monday afternoon, there had been an outbreak of a giant troll on the loose.

Police gave a description, saying the troll had big ears and a big head rope on his waist and was carrying a boat.

The police announced, “Stay away from these creatures at all times.” This creature was a very gicantic creature.

This troll had so many problems. Every time he ate, he would gain a ton.

Everyone fled their homes and found the nearest transportation to get out of town.

The police used their equipment to kill the troll, but the troll still survived.

The police tried everything against this troll, but still the outcome did not come out good.

In one hour, 163 police officers were killed.

Army forces had gotten involved. They had good rockets and nuclear bombs.

They used their force against the troll, and the outcome was good.

The troll had finally been injured.

The troll’s stomach started hurting very badly.

It looked like it was about to explode into pieces.

As soon as all the civilians got closer to the troll, the troll exploded into pieces and the whole town was covered with guts and green blood. 2,564 innocent civilians have been killed in this disaster.

Paramedics rushed in to determine whether or not there were any survivors, but there were none.

A couple of minutes later, little, tiny trolls came out of the gigantic troll; there were millions of trolls everywhere.

They would eat civilians, and then the civilians would turn into little trolls. It was like a zombie outbreak, but instead of being a zombie, you would become like a troll. The whole town turned into zombie trolls; they were so powerful that even the army could not kill them.

The whole world heard about these trolls and tried to stay away from them. The trolls slowly started infecting the world, and slowly other countries would get infected. It was so hard to survive; these trolls were like zombies, but with only three lives, people tried their hardest to survive, but only three people survived.

Their names were Shaheen, Blake, and Tyrone.

One of their good friends, known as Jason, was killed while cooking for himself.

Shaheen, Blake, and Tyrone were very afraid of going outside because 7.4 billion people were infected and only three people survived.

Shaheen saw the closest pak and save. He went to get food because Shaheen, Blake, and Tyrone were very hungry and thirsty. They wouldn’t trust the water pipes because there was blood inside of them the last time they used them. Shaheen sneaked into Pak-N-Save, and there were a couple of trolls inside Pak-N-Save. Shaheen had to grab some weapons to kill the troll. He knew the troll had three lives, so Shaheen had to smash the troll’s head three times.

Shaheen found lots of goodies until he saw Jason.

Shaheen was very shocked because he thought that Jason had been killed by the troll.

But Jason said when the troll tried eating me, it bit on the bottle of tomato sauce, so that’s why the blood squirted everywhere and made it look like I died.

Shaheen went and got bottles of water and some snacks and took Jason to his secret bunker.

Blake and Tyrone were very shocked because they thought Jason died as well, and Jason did lots of explaining.

The next day, Shaheen woke up and made breakfast for his friends. He then realised all the electricity had been turned off.

Blake said, “There is a power place; go there and try and fix it.”

Then Shaheen and Tyrone went to the power place.

Then they saw that the whole power had been chopped off with some type of blade.

Tyrone accidentally tipped a big metal rack, and it made a loud noise and alerted the trolls.

Shaheen and Tyrone got very scared. A whole bunch of trolls started rushing in; Shaheen had no weapons. Tyrone only had a metal rack that he found on the floor. Shaheen said to Tyrone, “Give me your metal rack.” You run home. “I’ll try my best to kill these trolls.”

Tyrone did what Shaheen said: he ran as fast as he could and went home. Jason and Blake said to Tyrone, “Where is Shaheen?” Tyrone said he told him to run home and he would kill some trolls that came after us.

Shaheen was very scared; he felt like this was the end.

Shaheen started running as fast as he could, but he tripped and injured his leg.

His leg started bleeding very badly. He started crawling home, but a troll bit his leg off. Shaheen started crying, begging for help. Then Jason Blake and Tyrone heard him and ran outside, but Shaheen was dead.

Blake, Tyrone, and Jason ran to Shaheen and said, “NO, SHAHEEN, DON’T DIE. PLEASE BE ALIVE

Blake, Tyrone, and Jason were very sad and said how we were going to do our planning without Shaheen.

The next day, Blake and Tyrone woke up, but Jason was not home. Turns out, Jason went to the pharmacy to get some medication.

Jason was spotted by Blake, and Blake said, “Why did you leave the house without telling us?” You could’ve died.

Tyrone found a rocket, and Jason and Blake went inside of it, where they got heaps of food and lived in space.

The End
